September 24: Plotting Made Three-zy

About our Speaker:

Cathy Matuszak - is a former high school teacher turned writer and editorial book coach. She believes storytelling is a passion and writing is a learnable skill. Her mission is to help writers hone their skills, strengthen their craft, and write better stories.

Cathy holds a BS-Ed in English and Reading from Bowling Green State University and an MFA in Writing Popular Fiction from Seton Hill University. She recently founded Book Boss Consulting with the mission to roll out support and resources for writers of all skill levels at all points in their writer life journey. When she’s not writing or building her own book boss life, Cathy spends her time reading, traveling, or binge-watching episodes of The Great British Bake Off.

About this Session:

From the Three Little Pigs to the Three Musketeers to the Charmed Ones, memorable storytelling often leverages the magic of threes. The rule of three is based on the idea that humans learn new information through pattern recognition and three is the smallest number that humans see as a pattern.

Plotting Made Three-zy will teach you how to leverage the power of threes to outline your novel and build a roadmap to a strong first draft.
