About this Session:
Writers often underestimate what a powerful component the weather can be in their stories. It can set a scene, express a mood, create hurdles, provide a motif, texturize characters, foreshadow twists, and even be a character. Katherine Ramsland, an avid storm watcher, will describe how her focus on weather for her crime fiction has yielded multiple benefits, from creating conflict to deepening a plot. It even inspired a title.
